The unlucky 4th place

[textile]

4th spot in domestic league and a shot at Champion’s League football next season would have been wonderful for many teams, but not Liverpool and Real Madrid.

Their manager were sacked within 24 hours of each other, and while Real has installed Jose Antonio Camacho as their new coach, the speculation is still going on for Liverpool, with Rafael Benitez the hot favorite for the press.

These are the first 2 big name casualties, they won’t be the last for sure, but it surprises me a bit that our manager Ranieri has actually lasted until today 🙂 I hope Roman Abramovich changes his mind and give tinkerman another season.

browser war

From “Google Zeitgeist”:http://www.google.com/press/zeitgeist.html

It seems that out there, IE6 still rules the globe. It is more than 3 years old now, and is not getting any better. But when most people don’t even know there _exist_ other alternatives, how could we expect them to switch from this shit browser 🙁

I might be fooling myself but it looks like the IE6 slope is decreasing at last around the last few months, but I had hope of something a bit more before checking the site out after 3 months.

Coupling – the series

[textile]

From a friend’s recommendation, I started watching this british TV series called ‘Coupling’ yesterday, and had the biggest laughs in many many days 😀

Apparently, it’s quite a popular show, and is in its 4th season running now. But I really have not heard of it before last week! It’s good comedy, but definitely different tone than ‘Friends’ which, in case you’re not from planet earth, has just ended after 10 years.

_Coupling_ has one the most brilliant script I have experienced with a comedy series. And it takes a fair amount of concentration to ‘get’ all the jokes, but that just makes it all the better. Many times, I have to squint my eyes trying to listen to what Jeff (Richard Coyle) is saying, knowing it must be a craker!

GMAX Reverse Bungy

[textile]

I was so closed to playing this thing last Sunday! Well it won’t run away, and last I heard it operates up to 1am everyday now. 8) I’ll be seeing you again, Mr. G-MAX.

There’re some pictures of it at http://www.gmax.co.nz/picturesmovies.html , from which I took the seats-in-sky pic shown here 🙂

You can have Video of you screaming while bouncing up and down in the air taken and burnt to VCD, for an extra of S$15. If the 3 of us go there, it will comes out at $30 each. A bit steep for a 3-minute trill, but could be worth it on a boring day 🙂
