Typing Lesson

Today—a typical day—I typed 6,118 characters worth of e-mail. That's about 1,092 words. Assuming speed of 30 words/minute, it has taken me 36.4 of pure keyboard bashing. (not counting the thinking)

If that speed dropped to 20 words/minute, it would have taken me about 20 minutes longer. Assuming 250 working days per year, it's about 83 hours of my life saved this year alone. Thanks to the typing lesson I took I high school.
