Today, I have tried the "new Beta release":http://www.operamini.com/beta/ of Opera Mini and decided to switch my mobile browsing completely to this version. When Beta 1 came out, I didn’t find enough reason to upgrade from Opera Mini 3, mainly because I like the old single-column rendering mode better than the new scaled rendering.

These are the niceties in Beta 4 that prompt me to convert:

* Better-looking rendering. (round corners, better CSS support)
* Configurable search engine choice. (Although Yahoo! Is still unconfigurably the default)
* Better speed
* Better javascript support. I have virtually no problem with "Google Reader mobile":http://www.google.com/reader/m now. I can’t say that for version 3.
