By Mark Haddon.
This is a book about Christopher Boone, a 15 year old living in Swindon. He has what is called an ’emotionally dissociated’ mind, and he thinks and rationalize very differently.
He loves math and physics and everything with order, but is incapable of filtering informations that flow into his brain. He basically cannot focus on the things that matter, and gets distracted by all (and I mean all) the details of the physical worlds.
It is very painful reading about his experience, and it made me look back at myself many many times, as I found a small piece of myself projected on characters in the book. Christopher, his mom and dad, and his teachers at school.
I picked this book up 2 days ago, and finished it last night. I supposed it is a good book, but it caught me off guard. They story is very real and agonizing, especially towards the end.
But I’m glad I’ve read it.
