“The Sneeze”:http://www.thesneeze.com/ has got to be my favorite read at the moment. In his “latest post”:http://www.thesneeze.com/mt-archives/000164.html , Steven tackled one of the mystery from japan, the fermented soy bean, or ‘nutto’.
Actually I’m not so troubled with the idea of _fermented_ food. Wine is an example, right? And of course there is ปลาร้า (pronouced pla-ra), or fermented fish, eaten in north-eastern Thailand. I’ve tried that and it’s ok. Also, growing up reading japanese manga, I’ve read about nutto all the time.
Not that all these familiarity stops me from laughing my arse off, though. 😀
