Google Desktop Search Download

If searching on your win32 machine can be as quick as searching the internet with Google, how cool would that be? And why not? All the data are right here in the disks, why _should_ it takes longer to find stuffs in there than on some server thousand miles away? I guess this will give experience similar to using file system with metadata?

It is doing the indexing (one time only) on my PC now. I will try it in the morning and see how fast it is. But if Chu Yeow said it’s good, it probably is!

Too bad Mk’s “article”:http://www.bangkokbiznews.com/scitech/2004/1002/news.php?news=column_15016304.html is already published, else he could have add this in. 🙂
