I wrote about Picasa 2 release on blognone.com. After playing with it for a day, I think the best bit about it is the improved searching. (livesearch, too) It’s very fast, as you would expect from a Google subsidary. The second best thing is the photoeffects, which are pretty neat.

One thing it also does well is making picture collage. And it looks like they see this as a main feature too, as it’s listed among the 7 action buttons down below the screen. I used to make these by hands several years ago. It was such a pain to do in Photoshop, and the result was not nearly as nice.

I guess there’s no need to say which one’s which. 😛 These collage will be nice as a photo album covers. Other uses escape me now.
