At the moment of this writing, there are a couple of police cars, a fire truck, and who knows how many officers in front of my hotel’s parking space.

Apparently a guy staying in the next door hotel is holding up peoples in a room with a pretty big gun. The police has been here since lunch time, as a women called them after the guy point the gun at her. It’s close to 9pm now, and the police is trying negotiation instead of breaking the door, because there are children in that same room.

The hotel’s clerk told me she grew up around here and it’s a safe neighbourhood. So much for that 😛
