Reading the “code freeze”:http://drupal.org/node/28466 anncoucement for Drupal 4.7, I have to say I am more an more impressed with the system. It’s already very robust, and each _point one_ release adds so many nice things to it. Looking at the 4.6 to 4.7 feature list, it includes tagging (on top of the excellent taxonomy system) configurable block areas (woohoo), OPML export, separate interface for admin sections. Is that really a point one release?
I have actually been using some of those via patches available for 4.6, but having them all work out of the box will be very welcomed. 🙂
And with all the theme-related changes, it will be about time I catch up with my theme contribution. (updating “Kubrick”:http://binarybonsai.com/kubrick/ / “Manji,”:http://www.brokenkode.com/manji adding “Rin,”:http://www.brokenkode.com/rin adding “K2”:http://binarybonsai.com/k2/ 😕 , adding block regions for ichris.ws)
